The Man In The Road is the first short film produced by Melling Films. Written by Stephan Melling, directed by Jamie Swaby and featured talented cast Jack Loy, Sheridan Sherratt and Kiara Kiandra.
Synopsis: A tense, atmospheric thriller set on a secluded rural road at dusk. When two friends accidentally hit something in the road, they’re confronted by a bloodied stranger who claims they’ve struck a man. What begins as a moral dilemma spirals into a psychological standoff, forcing each woman to question her instincts, and each other, as danger closes in. The film explores fear, trust, guilt, and the fragile line between truth and manipulation. It asks: Who do you believe when the stakes are life-changing? And what would you do when every choice feels wrong? Grounded in realism and driven by subtle performances, the story leans into atmosphere and unease, gradually shifting the audience’s loyalty and perspective until the final unsettling moment.
